We were there for some drinks as we had an event nearby. As expected on a Saturday morning, the cafe was busy with queues for a table and takeaway. We tried their mocha and hot chocolate to take away. They use mork chocolate powder for their hot chocolate which I tried in Melbourne (their flagship store) and I really enjoyed. Its not sickly sweet and has more of a rich cocoa taste. Service was friendly and they do have delicious looking pastries on their display.
Typical lazy Sunday, my sister and I ordered breakfast (at 12pm) from youeni on ubereats coz we were too lazy to go out We decided to twin it, got a toasted muesli bowl each. It was beautiful! Im a huge granola fan and this one is up there. Their granola is dense (not overly dense) and filling and it has a really nice strong nutty flavour. The almond milk is a perfect accompaniment to the granola – the dish needs that refreshing lightness from the milk. And that little bit of coconut yoghurt added a nice sourness to it all. It comes with a side of stewed rhubarb which I did not enjoy, I would rather not have a cooked vegetable with my granola for breakfast. Although my sister did like it, which just shows everyone has different tastebuds. Food: 4/5 Presentation: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Location: 4/5
Pancake: Crazy Diamond : Amazing Lamb Sandwich : GreatAai Smoothie : GreatService : Amazing This awesome cafe right next to Dan Murphys is a total must visit if youre in the Castle Hill area. The pancakes were absolutely divine especially its blueberry sauce. The lamb sandwich was good too. The sauce in it was so addicting to eat. Great service from the waitstaff as well.
Vegan friendly? 9.5/10 !! The staff here are so welcoming and friendly, also very helpful in ensuring the menu and options are understood. The space is decorated very nicely, greenery is placed all around. It also has a nice industrial touch to it while remaining minimal and sleek. The food options are great! There are pancakes, muesli, buddha bowls, sandwiches etc. While simple, it suited our tastes very well and the portions were so filling!!!Coffee is not as strong as I usually have it, but ours could be described to be a lot more light but still super creamy. If youre ever around castle hill or castle towers, would definitely recommend giving the spot a visit. Its a short walk from towers, however its worth it. Especially if youre looking for a local vegan cafe or for delicious vegan pancakes for brunch!!PicturedPANCAKE: SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND (V) YOUR ROYALE BOWLNESS (V)
Awful brunch experience. Two of us waited 45 minutes for our meal, in which time several other customers came and went. We had to go and enquire about our meals. They came out shortly afterwards, cold and missing the bacon myHusband had ordered. There was a meek and insincere apology about the delay. The food was cold, bland and underwhelming. We certainly wont be back and would advise against this place.
Super happy with our Sunday brunch here. First visit and we will definitely be back! We are not vegan and have no intention of ever being vegan, but I did have the Life-extending salad (added and egg though) and it was delicious and filling but not heavy – as promised! Other choices were yummy also (lamb sandwich and Barney & friends pancake), coffee was tasty and juice was fresh and delicious. Staff were super friendly also. I would have given them a 5 but the chairs where flimsy and wonky. Only bothered me though, my dining companions thought they were flimsy also but did not care. Id go back for the food but if I was just after a coffee I would go somewhere else that was more comfortable.
Youeni is an absolutely lovely cafe located in the hills district right near Castle Towers. I love Youenis emphasis on fresh produce and the fact that they make many of their ingredients in house. The staff are always so warm and welcome you with a smile. Visiting Youeni is always such a relaxing experience that is accompanied by delicious food.
