4.5I like when you can wine-taste & have a meal all at once & I like the concept even more when both are schmicko quality. Moral of the story is the newish Baume & I might be in love. The romance began with wine pairing for our lunch dishes. Simply pop over to the cellar door area for a tasting-to-table experience, by the glass or by the bottle. After a thorough sampling *hic* we decided on a kickass bottle of marsanne ($21), the remainder of which we were welcome to take home. Big plus cos our rockstar private tasting was imminent (thanks Kevin!) so couldn’t peak too early.Meanwhile food on the menu is designed for sharing because: it’s caring. Starters were tasting plates of zucchini flowers, filo cigars & arancini then the signature slow cooked lamb shoulder for main with garden fresh sides of baked kipflers & roast beans. Yowza! Everything was so incredibly edible. Everything was in large proportions. Everything was excellently priced. Talk about knowing the way to our hearts. Baume & our awesome foursome went from mysterious strangers with no preconceptions to hard soulmates for life. Yet another feather in the caps of the Peterson & McGuigan families. Great: • food • wine • value • venue • service & • company. Highly recommend you swipe right❣️With Lucy’s Mum
Headed here for dinner during the week. Great selection on the menu and very reasonably priced. The pizza was huge, more than enough for 2 people if sharif. We also ordered a salad and a serve of the kumara and broccolini. Staff were attentive and friendly and it was a nice atmosphere. Would come back for sure .
Hunter Valley was a great experience. It had great wineries and a lot of wine tasting. A full stomach is a must.As their websites states, it’s a family dining experience..If you want an authentic Italian dining experience, then get in your car and drive.WOW to say the least.I’ve never had a perfect wood fired pizza. There was a perfect amount of fresh ingredients and sauce was spot on.The spaghetti Bolognese was delicious. The mince meat was juicy and pasta was al dante..If you don’t mind the travel, I’m from Sydney (2 hours away), get in your car and pay this restaurant a visit
