My second visit, it was on Mother’s Day lunch. Was impressed by our last visit- amazing view and good food. But this time was a complete opposite. Busy day on Mother’s Day, couldn’t secure a table with view, service was extremely slow, waited nearly half hour between first and main, ordering our dessert while having the main to avoid another 30 min wait just in case, was asked ‘do you want it now’ I was like ‘ we are still having our main, are you serious?’ What I ordered was artichoke $29. Pork collard-$45. Partner has the pasta as first and veal as main. Dessert we share a strawberry something cake. taste was so much worse than our last visit , pub food standard with a much higher price tag. Went to Margan the day before, so it was very comparable. oh, forget to mention, they served us cold breads!! Disappointed visit not returning.

I was most impressed! A all round great experience. The food and service were impeccable and on point not to mention the stunning location. The wait staff were attentive and accommodating without being over bearing. All courses were brought out exactly at the right time, and our party of four were not left to wait for drink top ups or replenishment either. Even my mother commented as to how efficient and well run this restaurant was, considering there were only two wait staff and a restaurant full of people ordering multiple courses. As for the food, it was well presented fresh, well portioned and tasteful as depicted by the photos. A classic French cuisine. So pleased I chose this restaurant to go to for my sister’s 40th birthday.ThankyouDishes ordered:1. Duck 3/52. Wagyu Rump 5/53. Lamb mixed grill 5/54. Antipasto Platter for two 5/55. Crepes in Grand Marnier & Vanilla Ice Cream 2.5/56. Chocolate Creme Brulee 3.5/5Service 5/5Ambience 5/5

This is one of my favourite places. I fall in love every time I visit. The food is amazing, the setting is beautiful, staff are friendly. Not one thing I could fault. Have a helicopter pad so you don’t even have to drive from Sydney

Bistro Molines used to be one of my favorite and most recommended restaurants in the Hunter Valley area – beautiful views, great service and delicious food. Went to visit again today and was extremely disappointed. Whilst the view remains great and the staff are generally friendly, the food had deteriorated significantly. First there was a 45 minute wait between entrees and mains, and when my wagyu steak finally arrived, it was lukewarm and overcooked. For a $48 steak, it was done very poorly.
