Disappointed!. My party of four dined at Chez Pok on Friday evening. Although the restaurant was less than 20% full, there were not enough menus for us each to have one for about fifteen minutes, when we were handed two additional, photocopied menus. Two members of our party chose an entree dish to be served as a main meal size, but we’re extremely disappointed and my husband and I were embarrassed as these people were our guests! We each ordered dessert but had to change when two of us ordered panna cotta but only one was available.Although what we were served was nice, we all left the restaurant hungry, and none of us are big eaters! It was a shame because our previous visit to Chez Pok, albiet six years ago, had happy memories.I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends.

A Pox on Pok. We were very disappointed in this restaurant, there are many better places in the Hunter Valley to dine in. We booked into Chez Pok for dinner with a party of 4 after looking at their menu during the day. When we arrived we were advised that several of the dishes were not available, the bread roles were hard as rock and inedible we mentioned this to the staff and they seemed indifferent and let them sit on the table all night. The squid and prawn entree was tough and smelt bad. The lamb trio for mains was cooked blue and the barramundi filets along with the chicken were well over cooked and dry. When we spoke to staff about these issues they seemed to acknowledge that things were bad but took no action. We didn’t have desert as we just wanted to get out of there. This was an expensive was of time.

Dinner review. Dined at Chez Pok whilst staying at the resort with 3 others. Was underwhelmed by the menu choice – Trio of Lamb. The meat was dry, overcooked & lacked flavour with the puree & jus very bland. The size of the servings was suitable for an entrée, not a main. As a consequence the value for money was not evident. Would definitely not order this selection again. Dined at the local hotel the following night – meal far more satisfying & presented good value for money!

Dining @ Chez Pok. Charles & I were looking for a wonderful french restaurant to dine at during our weekend stay in Hunter Valley. Chez Pok was at the top of our list. A definite recommendation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The food is absolutely delicious/ambiance is wonderful. We both walked out smiling and pleased with our evening. Thanks to Chez Pok! & Staff.
