Being a Sydney-sider, there are a few things I take for granted. Food being one of them. When I went to Hunter Valley, I was concerned that the food wouldn’t be of good quality. Boy was I wrong. Cypress Lakes Resort served up a great grilled fish dish. The salmon was of a decent size. The salad was flavoursome and crunchy. Adding much needed texture to the dish.I was also impressed with the service. Part of my dining experience and rating depends on the service. There is nothing like a disgruntled employee to ruin a dining experience. Here, the service was exceptional. Employees were nice, friendly and helpful. I had originally thought the dish and chips option would consist of deep fries fish and I wanted it grilled instead. The change was made without a hitch, even though it later appeared that the fish and chips option consisted of grilled fish.
