  Might have lost its Mojo. Upon stating the name and time of our booking we were told we didn’t have a booking and then the internet booking system was explained to me in patronizing detail.I informed the front of house staff that I had in fact received a confirmation of my booking via email which she then said was impossible because confirmations were made by phone, not email (sigh). We were seated but not offered drinks or bread until I was able to produce the said confirmation email, which took about 10 minutes due to it being buried within around 200 work emails since making the booking a week earlier. Upon finding the email, the front of house person took my phone from me, turned her back and ‘reviewed’ the email for a good two minutes before explaining to me that there was obviously a miscommunication between the owner and his wife, and that the wife barely works there any more anyway (fascinating).She returned from the kitchen with bread and water, informing me that she’d had ‘words’ with the chef (the owner!) and had managed to sort it all out. Well, I’m delighted she got to the bottom of what was a complete non-event and made us feel totally awkward. Such a shame because the food was quite good. A little less attitude, a little more mojo required.

  We love it here. we’ve eaten here 6 times now, in a group setting and as a couple and each time we are impressed. The food is absolutely fantastic, well presented, delicious, well priced and the service is outstanding, your glass is never left empty and staff have good knowledge of the menu. we haven’t been able to visit the hunter valley without coming here.
