Upon the recommendation of a friend, my husband I had lunch at Muse Kitchen while we were in the Hunter for the weekend. Muse Kitchen did not disappointment! Excellent food and hospitality! We had the gnocchi and cod for entree, beef sirloin and pork neck for main, and pannacotta for dessert. Be sure to book ahead of time so you don’t miss out.
What a lovely way to spend a night eating dinner at this gorgeous restaurant. Food was delicious, the gnocchi were so tasty and light. Service also exceptional, staff were attentive but not overbearing. A lovely relaxed atmosphere for those dining. Would come back for a long lunch to enjoy the beautiful green gardens that surround the winery.
If you want a leisurely 3 hour lunch with food that is poetry on the plate, then check this place out. Each course was like a discovery of our own palate !! Gorgeous space with ambrosial wine and some amazing service.
My second time here, came here on a Saturday for lunch, got to taste 2 entrees, 2 mains and a dessert. Food was a bit of a hit and miss. The confit salmon for entree was a hit. The spanner crab entree was a tad too sweet, there was corn and honey with it which over powered the sweetness of the crab itself. The duck main was good but needed more sauce. The lamb main was very average for me – tasted much more gamey than what it needs to be. The cheese cake dessert was good.Service was friendly but food came out a quite slow that day, probably due to a big group there at the same time. We waited about half and hour for our mains. Not as good as my first experience here. But I’m willing to try again, when a new menu comes out.
Absolutely amazing. Loved everything. The starters (salmon and the crab) were very tasty. For mains I had the lamb and my wife the chicken both of which went very well with the honey butternut side. Unlike EXP (lunch the day before) it wasn’t just meat on a plate but instead a true flavoursome experience. Will be back for sure and can highly recommend Muse Kitchen to anyone visiting the Hunter
