First time drinking New Zealand coffee bean in this local cafe . It’s not as strong compared to Campos bean, but rather possessing a very distinguishable taste. A bit nutty. A bit chocolate from the sprinkle powder. Yum! The brekkie food here is affordable, simply, and delicious thanks to the use of local supplies. Take free-range eggs for instance. A blending feel of vintage and hippy, which works so well with modern jazz music. You’ll find artworks, handmade bracelets, candles, honey, soap, and chocolate for sales inside. I was lucky to arrive before busy hours. From my research, this is a creation of a Australian-Russian couple. The staff seems to know almost every customer and they are very nice people. This is a must have brunch/coffee in Cessnock!

  • Sir And M'lady Dine Out

There are a surprising number of cafes in the main drag of Cessnock – but then again, there is a lot of passing traffic going to the wine district of the Hunter Valley. Polina’s is one of the quirkier ones. It has real charm and atmosphere and some good food and coffee too!. Of course the necessary couple of coffee’s to start the day are essential. They arrived quickly and tasted good so both these boxes were ticked!

  • Eyes On Perth

The best breakfast I’ve had in a long time – and that’s coming from Perth where breakfast is the main meal of the day! Smashed avo with a side of bacon was perfection, served in a relaxing friendly cafe. This place deserves some credit.

  • Picturesque Food

Arrived at Polina’s on Labor Day. There was a half an hour wait on the food which was expected on a public holiday where there weren’t many options available. Polina’s has eccentric decor compared to neighboring businesses in the Cessnock region. Very modern and hipster at the same time. What I really liked was the table number was an actual mini pot plant which was different and cool. Cappuccino ordered was standard. The big Cessnock breakfast was disappointing. Not sure what it was, but it had a very unusual taste!

K coffee good food but the menu needs some of the old fav Ike bacon/egg or standard big breakfast instead of the trendy combos
