What a wonderful winery and restaurant! First we were created by Paul behind the cellar door and we tried a few wines with him and a few stories, he is a classic!! He also gave us a taste of the Frizzante which a Hunter Semillon that is served ice cold with a squeeze of lemon- it was such a taste burst! The fruitiness of the Semillon was delightful but it was so refreshing as well. Onto the restaurant: the atmosphere was quick laid back and chilled which was lovely. We ordered the mushrooms with feta, chorizo sausage rolls, salad of pear and walnuts, the prawns and meatballs. By the time the last dish came out (meatballs) we were stuffed! The food was seasoned perfectly, the tastes were all complimentary and the servings were perfect for 4 people. I can’t recommend this place for a casual lunch highly enough.

Better than Dolly!. Superb find and a class act. Whilst others were watching Dolly Parton at Hope Estate we were feasting on tappas, so generous were the helpings that the 5 plates between 4 we couldn’t finish. More a degustation than tappas. Fig and gorgonzola, goats cheese and caramelised onion tart, scallops and souvlaki as good as I have had and a Pâté that was superb. With Tatlers multi award winning 2004 Semillon and their James Halliday 95 rated Nonpariel Shiraz the palette was dancing. Even went back the next day for afternoon tea of superb banoffee pie, banana bread, the best ever and scones as they should be.Service was friendly and efficient and chef Katy Carruthers is simply multi talented.
Johno. Food was terrible and over priced, walked out feeling hungry and very ripped off,
Tapas. What a an amazing cafe tucked right away into Lovedale.Well worth the visit if you are going up for a couple of days, fantastic food, wine and atmosphere. The prices are not to bad for the quality of food, with most prices around the $20 mark.I recommend this cafe!!!
