Firstly, kudos on their name! Love it.Secondly, Two Fat Blokes is part cafe/restaurant, part deli and part tour company. The deli is awesome and you can buy food from there and sit in the light airy cafe/restaurant area. We got this massive cheeseboard from the deli (with triple cream brie, cheddar and a blue cheese) which could easily have fed about eight people so between the two of us, we had plenty of takeaway cheese. But the real highlight for me was the pie. The humble pie. I had the pepper beef pie and it was SO incredibly pepper-y. I wasn’t sure if it was deliberately meant to be that hot or if the chef had gone overboard with the pepper that morning but after a few bites, I was hooked. The pie crust was also one of the best I’ve had EVER. It was so flaky but still held the structure of the pie together.Full review at imhangry.net/2018/05/10/eating-in-the-hunter-valley/

Headed here for lunch recently, they’re currently in a pop up location. Ordered a Reuben and a burger to share. Food was OK, nothing exceptional, prices were reasonable. Serves were very generous. A nice setting overlooking the hillside and some outdoor seating available.

If you’re after a casual lunch spot in the hunter valley, this is a good option. Offering a menu with various burgers, sandwiches and hot meals. I had the veggie sandwich here with chips which was decent. A note, there are quite a lot of flies and bugs that fly inside when the food is around, it might just be the fact that the cafe is set next to a vineyard and out in the country.

Came here with three vegan friends and Two Fat Blokes could not have been more accomodating with altering their menu to create a really amazing meal. Our lovely waitress taking orders was so helpful with any questions. Have to applaud the very talented chef who created all the dishes, everything was delicious, especially must recommend the vegan mushroom risotto to other vegan travellers. Thank you TFB for a great experience at your restaurant! ☘️

Kiddo had the spaghetti bolognese which she seem to enjoy. The grown ups then had the risotto which had rather too much wine added. I know we are in thehunter but there is no reason to make it rain. The slow cooked pork was the highlight of our orders. But as you can see from the pics, you’ll need a helping to bread to pad up your lunch.2 out of 3 from us.
