Lovely Long Lunch. We enjoyed a late lunch here last Thursday (Anzac day) We had tried three other places in the Hunter Region and were turned away for not having a booking when there were clearly tables available. We ended up at Wandin and I am pleased we did. The service was accommodating and friendly. We shared 5 divvy dishes between the 4 of us and this was sufficient. We started with the bread and olives, next was the Squid which was a very generous portion and was wonderful. The chilli prawns were again a generous serve (8 prawns in total) and had a lovely flavour, The feta and mushroom arachini balls had an amazing flavour, we finihsed up with the wagu sliders. In between courses we keeps ducking into the cellar door to do tastings of wines and they were happy for us to do this.I would recommend this to anyway wanting to enjoy a long lunch with great views and will be returning on my next visit to the region

The food was very nice, the service fair and the decor and outlook very pleasant. We started with the smoked salmon and crab rolls with sour cream dressing. They were very tasty. The salmon and crab combined well and the dressing lifted it all again with a tangy hit

Negatives outweigh the positives positives tasty chips spectacular views negatives Gritty sandy salad. crab cakes were really salty and sauce had too much dill. Meatballs came out 10 minutes after we were done with everything else. Way way way way way too expensive for what it was could be great, but needs kitchen staff who want to put in the effort to make decent food.
