I visited this restaurant with a large group (20+) of friends to celebrate a birthday and participated in the social brunch menu with bottomless champagne. The service staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious and ingredients were of high quality. I would recommend the kingfish entre and steak with chips. The atmosphere of the place is perfect for both small and large groups. We were very impressed and would recommend anyone to come here.

Been meaning to try this place for quite a while now, located on the famous culinary Kensington street, the restaurant itself was beautiful, dimmed intimate lighting, with a open kitchen to watch the chef in action. We selected the a la carte menu and chose dishes to share with the table. Highlight of the night was probably the rock oyster and rump or lamb, oysters were super fresh and the lamb was well cooked and seasoned however am not a fan of the fregola. The remaining dishes werent bad but there wasnt anything special about it. Most disappointing dish was the hiramasa king fish – it was served seared on the outside and raw in the middle which dried it out, would be SOOO much better raw! Amazing cocktail list, a must!!

The food wasnt bad but wasnt stand out at all as well, either taste or presentation. Thought they could have given a bit more effort on making the food taste better and sophisticated. Both plates we had were basically just bland beef with simple shoestring fries. Feel sorry that the food standard doesnt match its cool and chic decor.

Went today around 11ish. Not very social welcome or introduction to the menu. Being a Northerner who also went to UK social clubs as a kid and adult I was disappointed that the menu nor customer service didnt reflect the true heart of Northern England, its soul or food. I had big plate and my partner had small plate which were actually the opposite and our drinks came out after the food. Also the food didnt really seem very English for example couldnt order sausages/ black pudding/ simple bacon sarnie/ kippers. If you like having long set lunches with bottomless alcohol accompanied lunch, the deals on offer seemed quite good value, this was the only option featuring a full English Breakfast if you want to eat something authentically English. Some ideas for the management – Staff, smile, appear friendly and attend to your customers, this is how you can get tips when service is not included in the bill. Manager- have more options available as single items ( e.g Full English)

Way overpriced. $20 bread; wait staff indifferent and unattentive. I ordered lamb. It was absolutely raw. I don’t mean rare. I mean it was raw. Yuk. I won’t ever go back.

A chic n cool venue this is. It was pretty empty when we rocked up 1 wkday morning. Despite having to cater for hotel guests room service, our order of english brekky n mackerel omelette came out within a reasonable time. English brekky (3/5) was nothing much to shout about, except that the scrambled eggs was done properly n the blood sausage pretty good. Ditto the mackerel omelette (3/5), it came out pretty plain looking. I thought i wouldnt be satisfied too but apparently i overestimated my tummy capacity. Talk about having greedy eyes. I suspect their brunch is better but only avail on wkends.

Didnt really think much of the food, however the meals were reasonably priced and the staff were helpful. Cute little hipster place. Not sure if I would visit again
