I love the Philly cheesesteak. I always get the half combo and it is perfect! Never disappointed and it feels like a healthy alternative to burgers with the same if not more satisfaction. Love mannys

Had a few drinks at the Gladstone last night. Pub kitchen was closed at 9pm so went across the road to Mannys. Ordered a supreme pizza and philly steak. Food was really good, place was busy and it was quick. I’ll be back next week Wednesday.

What is it with people opening diners in petrol stations and thinking that they’re some fancy destination that can charge premium prices (I’m looking at you, Philly Up)?  Manny’s is good for a petrol station but massively overpriced.  The pizza was fairly good, thin and crispy with decent toppings, but it was more expensive than the fancy pizza places that I go to (and they do better pizza than Manny’s).  I was also thinking that Manny’s might actually be the first place in Sydney to charge a reasonable price for the humble cheesesteak ($9) but that price is for only half a roll. It generally had a good steak-and-cheese taste, one of the tastiest attempts at a cheesesteak that I’ve had in Sydney, and it was in a good roll (even if it was unnecessarily toasted), but they skimped on the steak and cheese (don’t believe the promo photos), padded it out with lots of lettuce, and I couldn’t find the peppers and mushrooms that they said were in it.

I was getting fuel from the Petrol station and couldn’t miss the huge mannys pizza diner sign situated adjacent to me. Feeling a little peckish I dropped in and was surprised to find philly cheese steaks on the menu. I had a half chicken philly! It was the best thing I’ve ever tasted. I think I’ll go back tomorrow.
