Pisco Sour Delicious. What a great little find located right in the centre near the University and White Rabbit Gallery. The coffee was top class and the Wagyu Beef Burger, Chips was plentiful, well priced and delicious. Warm and friendly staff made the experience a real pleasure. 8/10.
Brunch with a twist. Pisco Sour was an unexpected surprise: a laid-back cafe serving up delicious food with a South American bent, just minutes away from commotion of the inner city. The cafe is pretty limited seating inside but the few tables outside offer a pleasant alternative as they are shaded by trees. Service is warm and friendly. There were many tempting dishes on the menu and equally drool-worthy baked goods on the front counter. We ended up getting the chicken empanada and the chilli eggs. The chicken empanada had a flaky crust encasing half a boiled egg, olives and tender pieces of meat. It was filling but not too heavy and went well with the side of salsa. The chilli eggs arrived in a small iron pan, 2 perfectly wobbly eggs nestled on a bed of cooked spinach and tomato salsa. There was a nice kick to the sauce but wasn’t overpoweringly spicy (though it’s all relative to your personal tolerance I guess). We happily mopped the pan clean with the accompanying sourdough. For drinks, the espresso chai latte was a winner. Will definitely be returning to this gem.
