Super friendly service, good selection of simple pub grub classics (fish & chips; burgers), plus good sharing plate options eg calamari, gnocchi, cheese platter. Rotating beers on tap changes weekly. Fantastic little bar/good food and nice neighbourhood unpretentious atmosphere… loved the fact the music isnt too loud! (THey were even nice enough to ask if the music volume was ok). Would recommend and return!
Finally was able to check out this place, since Ive been driving past this place everyday. They offer a variety of appetisers, burger and salad options. We decided to try the burgers of course and the calamari as well. My burger was a little bit on the salty side, but my friend quite enjoyed the prawn burger. And we both thought the calamari was quite tasty. Wouldnt mind coming back if I were in the area.
I’ve been to Sneaky Possum twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. On my first visit, I sat on one of the communal tables in the dining area out the back and had a very nice cheese plate and a glass of wine. An ideal solo dining experience, complemented by excellent service. On my second visit, I sat at the bar with some friends – it’s a little noisy up front, but it has a good vibe. We were pleased to find the menu could be adapted for vegetarians and vegans – my friend raved about the vegan version of the gnocchi. I ordered the pumpkin pie, which turned out to be nothing like the American pie I was expecting. Instead, it was a crispy base of sweet, flaky pastry, a layer of rich caramel studded with candied walnuts, then fresh spirals of pumpkin on top, scattered with rosemary and macadamias. It was very inventive and very delicious. Keen to sample the breakfast and lunch menus next!
