I recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs. The food was sub-par and the service was absolutely atrocious. For authentic Vietnamese food take a trip to Cabramatta, you won’t be disappointed like you would be leaving this place.

Absolutely delicious!! Great food and atmosphere. We had the pho, san Choi bao, and vermicelli noodles which were all full of flavour and amazing. Will definitely come back. Thank you!!

I brought my friend to the spice alley for lunch. We decided to try Mekong. The food was overall delicious. The papaya salad was fresh and tasty. The lemongrass beef curry was okay. My friend enjoyed it. But I am not too into beef curries, maybe that’s why I didn’t enjoy it as much. Overall, a good experience. Would definitely revisit.

I wanted pho. It is on a list with better choices that my doctor has given me for eating out. So we ended up here. It’s a fairly nice part of Spice Alley, its own restaurant with dedicated seating and a liquor license. The pho was good quality and tasty.

Staff has no consideration for clients. Manager even worse than staff. Service needs improvement. Do not recommend even if food was ok since there are so many friendlier places in Sydney with equivalent food and much better service.

After one of the best dinners this year at Upper Mekong, we just had to try Lower Mekong. It didn’t disappointed. More classic Vietnamese dishes elevated like their Pho. The tomato rice with the most moist fried chicken ever was the standout. For the price point, definitely value for money.

I invited my friend to Mekong to have dinner after work to celebrate I got a new job. We went into lower Mekong and I told the waitress I would like to sit upstairs. Then the waitress told me there are two restaurant here, which are Mekong upstairs and Lower Mekong on ground floor, but they belong to the same boss. She asked me to get out of the restaurant because I need to wait for 5 mins for the Mekong upstairs which opens at 6pm. Then My friend and I intended to sit in the chairs outside because all tables are empty. The waitress came out and commanded us to stand up and leave until the Mekong opens.Come on! It was only 5 minutes, and the two restaurants are belong to the same boss! how could you treat your customers like this way? I would never go to this restaurant again! If I am the boss, I will never hire a waitress who behave in this way.
