Instagram-able decor is what draws people here, as well as art exhibitions. The cafe only has teas, no coffee, and no pastries/cakes as would be expected of a tea house, and very limited food options.
A nice place with cute ceiling decor that offers an extensive list of teas. Some of the teas are well presented in glass tea pots so that you can appreciate the flower of the tea as it brews. We tried the milky oolong and it was delicious, it was creamy, buttery and very fragrant! It was by far my favorite tea that we ordered. The tea house also offers sides such as dumplings which are alright and good enough to snack on.
LOVE! Dumplings and lychee iced tea are delish and SO well priced. Such a special part of Sydney with the fascinating art exhibitions, quirky gift store and yum restaurant. Well done guys.
Two places in one! The art gallery is influenced by Asian heritage and changes over time. It’s beautifully executed. The teahouse has a well written and unique asian tea/sweet menu that is indulging. Love going every time.
The White Rabbit Teahouse is a small and relaxing restaurant adjoined to an art gallery. The ambiance is authentic and features bird cages hanging from the ceiling and Chinese music. They feature a plethora of high-quality teas, from oolong, to black tea to green tea to even white tea. I settled for the Silver needle white tea which was splendid. The restaurant played host groups of old ladies enjoying biscuits and scones with their tea. I consumed their handmade dumplings from which the selection was small. The first option consisted of ten dumplings with choices of chicken + coriander or eggs + chives. I picked eggs and chives. the second option consisted of 5 pot stickers with choices between chicken + lemongrass and tofu + mixed vegetables. I picked the latter once again. Both options were good but they weren’t something that would make you scream WOW especially since I had visited several dumpling outlets before this one. The teas served in small pots, ranged from 4 – 5 dollars on average. They had other drinks such as wine, beer and soft drinks etc. Overall, it was a nice and simple restaurant that was nostalgic to say the least.
We stumbled across this great little tea house attached to a contemorary Chinese art gallery on the way to the brewery makets. With a simple menu, offering a couple types of handmade dumplings and other nibbles. There were also a decent range of Chinese tea on offer. This was place was perfect for me at the time as I was after a light snack. I went the chicken and lemongrass pot stickers and ordered the home made lychee iced tea. The dumplings were delicious and the iced tea was refreshing. This place would be a great place for a quiet catch up and a nice alternative to go to instead of a cafe or coffee shop. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
One of my favourite places in Sydney. Love the dumplings and scones here.The chrysanthemum and goji berry tea goes down well after a walk around the gallery.
