X23 is a newish cafe serving brunch dishes with an Asian twist like nasi lemak burger, chilli crab pasta and rendang burger. I’m a fan of the concept but there’s still room for improvement. I had the miso mushrooms on toast with sauteed kale, topped with two poached eggs. Not bad but it was on the oily side. My friend enjoyed her granola bowl with coconut yogurt. Plenty of summer vibes in the tropical flavours. When I ordered at the counter, they added a dollar surcharge without telling me. When I asked about it, the guy said it was to upgrade the toast to a croissant, which I hadn’t asked for. They took it off the bill but it left a sour taste as I felt it was pretty sneaky. So not too happy with the service but it’s still early days and hopefully this is a one-off issue.

New cafe just opened around this area. This cafe served Asian fusion style. I tried their signature nasi lemak burger, x23 scrambled egg and chili crab pasta. The nasi lemak burger is good. The chicken flavored really well! X23 scrambled egg spicy and delicious. The pasta reminds me chilli crab Singapore. So creative. Must try cafe. Love it
