After stopping for a coffee at the Botero coffee van at Ulmurra, we took their recommendation to stop at Espresso Botero on the way north (which only confirmed the plan from the google search not long before Ulmurra). Disappointment was the furtherest thing from our minds!Centred around the extensive Botero coffee roasting facility, the food was spectacularly good (unexpected almost compared to food selections further south on the trip) with the buttermilk chicken burger melting and crumbling in my mouth and the blackboard special tacos causing food envy.Clearly catering to locals and travellers alike, bookmark it for the future as it will soon be minutes from the new Freeway between Coffs Harbour and Ballina – in the meanwhile stop by as a reprieve from the roadworks crawl.

Our family came for lunch, not particularly busy and waited over 45 mins for a basic lunch meal. After asking several times where our meals were ( after seeing tables get there meals being seated for 10 mins) we were given vague estimates. Rude manager and did not offer any remuneration for our experience. Coffee is your best bet, not food or service!!
Truely great and much needed addition to the quiet town of Maclean. The staff here are extremely friendly and I have always been met with familiar and smiling faces. The interior is awesome, seated in one corner of the cafe you are surrounded by glass walls so you are able to look in and watch their own coffee being made in their factory. The food from the menu here is good and so are the sweet and savoury items from the window.
Sensational in all aspects. Great coffee. Excellent food. Staff were happy to cater to hungry 6 year old needs. Wish it was closer to home
