Staff are all backpackers that cant take an order without making a mistake or rechecking with you 1000x what your order was to begin with!! The Italian manager is super rude and looks like he hates his job. Food overpriced, service slow, coffee burnt. There are much better options…
Our family of four just went there. Got to say, we were very disappointed.The service was polite but shocking in respect to time waiting for food, no cutlery, (had to wait ages for that) no pepper in grinder. Wrong drink arrived for my wife. The food was ok but needed to be finished off, my steak needed a sauce of some sort and some greens. Steak and chips for $32 was a bit a bit much without the trimmings. I noticed complaints from other 3 patrons while we were there which is pretty full on as we were only there for and hour and a half. We certainly wont return.
Went there for drinks. Had their iced coffee with vanilla ice cream. It was a good blend of ice cream and coffee. Taste good! Kombucha was good too! Will probably go back again next time to try out their food.
I feel bad when I rate really low but gotta be honest right?! I want to start with service people, all the points go to them, they were attentive,kind,welcoming! Best thing about this place is the people who works there..but when it comes to food and coffee, I wouldn’t even rate. Very overprice, bland food and no flavour coffee.. and that Hollandaise sauce was extra as side costing $4! It wasn’t even goey,looked like it has been sitting for hours! Hope they up their food game as location and people so nice in there!
I had the pecorino eggs and a pineapple orange juice – divine. Look at the size of them! And Dana the Manager is delightful! A must go in clovelley!
Four of us went for a Sunday morning breakfast. The waitress took our order without using a notepad, relying only on her memory. Unfortunately her memory was not as good as she thought. The first error was a latte arriving instead of an iced latte. When our meals came, 3 out of the 4 were wrong. When we tried to explain that they were wrong, we were not met with an apology but rather a sense that it was somehow our fault. Meanwhile a 5th friend arrived and only ordered an iced latte which took 30 minutes to arrive after reminding the waitress/waiter 3 times. Finally, when the meals were sorted out correctly, one came with a long strand of hair in it. In itself this is not a big issue since this can not always be helped. However it was just one more thing going wrong. The food itself was ok, perhaps a tad underwhelming. A waitress did apologise repeatedly as we were leaving however the damage had already been done.
Stock standard east suburbs cafe, nothing great, terrible table service, food takes ages to come out, people waiting for takeaway coffee on the sidewalk for 30+ mins (why???) couple next to us had a mixed up order, owner didn’t apologise just blamed the kitchen, very arrogant and rude. Wont be back!
