3.5Small rustic cafe at the Butterfly House. It’s friendly and welcoming with great staff. Small but conventional menu here. Plenty for adults and kids alike. The combo deal with the butterfly house entry is good value so we took it. My coffee was good. My partner’s pot of tea was good too. We had traditional scones and jam and cream too which were pleasant.
The menu is limited (basic sandwiches or morning/afternoon tea) and the atmosphere very casual but everything we ordered was made well. The scones in particular were big, fresh and tasty. The coffee was also very adequate. It is very child-friendly and offers colouring activities for children in the cafe. The cafe is not an attraction in itself but is convenient for morning or afternoon tea before or after visiting the butterflies.
