Vegetarian I am not, however with a health conscious mind to eat better I decided on the Field Mushrooms with Feta, Caramilised onions, rocket, and pine nuts with balasamic dressing on Turkish. Perhaps I should choose the healthy options more often as this was incredible. Not only was the taste amazing but it left you feeling content without the heavy after math that you all too often get after a greasy fry up. I have eaten at all the cafe’s in this town and Zest just re-emphasised why it is the best. What a way to start the day with the Bottero coffee to match. Just amazing.
We had a decent meal, nothing too fancy but not bad. The way the place was set up with ordering at the table we innocently forgot to pay when we got up to leave. We were only wandering up the Main Street but weren’t called back. Remembered that night, called to let them know we’d come back to pay the following day but no answer. Went in the following morning to pay and was made to feel like a criminal and we’d done it on purpose. Not an understanding or reasonable response at all. Suggest they ask people to pay at the counter

Good coffee and the food wasn’t bad. Went on a Saturday morning which is a very busy time on First Ave. They didn’t have enough staff and the kitchen and waitstaff were run off their feet. Very good service but the times and unavailability of ingredients wasn’t very good management.
Fantastic coffee & food! Lovely cheerful service too. A favourite haunt for us whilst at Sawtell.
