We went to Macauley’s to have dinner on recommendation by the managers at Royal Palms Motor Inn and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The restaurant is spacious, tastefully decorated, neat and clean. We opted for Indian food and the food was tasty and well presented.
Macauleys Restaurant – from 1st August 2016 is now with new owners.Macauley still has a western menu offering  dishes like surf & turf & lemon pepper barra. As well as now a extensive Indian Menu, like all the favourites of butter chicken, lamb korma and tandoor oven naan bread.They now open 6 nights a week Mon-Sat from 5pm to 9pm. The food menu & drinks prices have been made a bit more affordable, mains meals from $17 to $38. The decor has changed to be a bit more subtropical with an Indian influence & colourful sari artworks , and with a eclectic mix of Indian music playing in the background. Macauley’s now offers something for almost everyone from curry lovers to grilled eye fillet steak.

A great place to try!. As soon as we walked in we knew we had chosen well, the ambiance and friendly staff helped us settle immediately. The menus were well set out with plenty of interesting choices and the food was delicious and well presented 🙂 I have no hesitation in recommending it to all my friends and hope to return one day when next in Coffs.
I had the chowder and spatchcock. Really nice meal
