High quality vegan/vegetarian Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. The food came out very quickly – best Tom Yum soup I have ever tasted! Very privileged to be able to have a chat with the waiter staff and the owners of the business once service had finished. Not a cheap meal but it was worth every dollar due to the large portions, quality of food and service 🙂
Pretty average. Should have stuck to my rule about never, ever ordering Vietnamese cuisine in a Thai restaurant and vice versa. It never works, pho was horrible, Bun was not Vietnamese at all but some home made concoction and somebody’s best idea of what it should be. Spring rolls were tasty.
SIDE NOTE: upon paying our bill we discovered that ALL chefs were in fact Australian?! As the review below stated; wish I’d read the reviews before attending. Food here is rubbish. $72 for a serve of Spring rolls, a curry, a fried rice and 2 drinks?! There is nothing authentic about the food or the decor. I was really looking forward to some traditional pork spring rolls, only to find out that they charge almost $4 extra to have iceberg lettuce and mint included?!!! When they came to the table it was clear that they are primarily vegetable spring rolls with the smallest amount of tasteless pork mince. The massaman curry that came out was grossly watery and had a heavy layer of oil. And lastly the BBQ pork and prawn fried rice was average, there were approximately 4 small canned prawns included and an entire onion. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The only positive I can find is that they stocked singha beer which came to the table nice and cold
Awful- a stir fry has to have flavour and taste. I got the stringy storks of Bok Choo, celery and spinach. 2 Juliens of bean, 1 button mushroom and maybe 2 slices of zucchini, oh and 1 snow pea. Considering this was recommended it adds to the disappointment and the staff were very average. Do yourself a favour if you like authentic food – walk right past!
Wish I’d read the reviews before we ventured in. I feel bad writing a negative review but this place was busy enough and seems to do well.. I really dislike how some places in tourist towns just don’t care about their craft. In my opinion this places serves up ordinary home style food with very cheap ingredients, including our Woolies select sparkling water, which we were charged ??$7? for. I get that it’s regional but I’m sure there are plenty of local places to procure quality ingredients, rather than relying on cheap fillers like carrot, potato and zucchini. The clay pot was filled with things but nothing worked together and the dish was lacking flavour or an identity. Massaman beef was ok, relying heavily on the slow cooked beef for interest, but even that waned with the weirdness of the sweet potato, large clumsy potato pieces and a thick stew like sauce that reminded me of my gran’s weekly stews. Really ordinary wine list, didn’t order. In this newer, trendier area I’d expect better. This felt like 1985 Coffs Harbour.
