  Cheap, good value for money. We went on a noisy Sunday night, were served quickly and left quickly. Good for a cheap holiday meal. Not a place to linger. Too noisy to talk.

  The Hoey is a long term Coffs Harbour establishment, nestled under the beach-side greenery of Park Beach. Its a huge, open plan pub with different seating areas and a bistro good for bringing little ones along. The bar is disappointingly cash only – as I would have imagine card payments are quicker when moving through the queues, alas, you can pay by card at the bistro when ordering food. The menu has all the pub favorites, but I’d really love to see some healthier options here other than a ceasar which is 40% crouton for an odd $22-$23. The cubed chicken in this was moist and tender, and not the gelatinous processed meat. They have $7.50 daily specials which i must admit are impressive for the size. The parmigiana was of decent size, thick and juicy. Sides don’t call for much, however I’m here for the schnitty.

  Don’t let the negative reviews dishearten you. We enjoyed a lovely Wednesday evening dinner here. Each had the lamb cutlet with chips and salad for $20 each . Was incredible and a huge serving which neither of us could finish. Highly recommend
