Please note the Zulus Coffs Harbour restaurant is no longer open. The motel restaurant still operates but does not have the same menu as the Zulus Coffs Harbour Restaurant did.
Overpriced and missing the African inspiration. A wired beginning with strange looks when we arrived for dinner and asking if they had availability. Should have been our warning to opt out. A conversation between the manager and chef resulted in advice that we should go for the banquet – there were no menus available and the wine list was under construction. However, we decided to stay for the banquet as the food sounded good from previous reviews and we were expecting some great flavours and good variety. The good – staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was ok, but at $35 a head, we were expecting more than fried chicken, rice, chips salad and 2 small stir fry dishes. We were not offered any of the great items we saw on the websites or reviews – not sure what happened. The food was fine, but hardly African inspired and def not worth the price tag. Would not recommend given some other great options in Coffs.

The good – staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was ok, but at $35 a head, we were expecting more than fried chicken, steamed rice, chunky chips, green salad and 2 small stir-fry dishes (beef and chicken). We were not provided any of the great items we saw on the websites or reviews – not sure what happened. The food was hardly African inspired and def not worth the price tag. Would not recommend given some other great options in Coffs.
