The refurbished Collaroy pub takes full advantage of its prime location, with an outdoor seating area upstairs overlooking the ocean (you bet we sat out there); glass ceilings and wide glassless windows letting in warm light and the sea breeze. The fit-out of the place is bright and pretty but at the same time rustic and beachy, giving off a real welcoming and chill vibe.I ordered the gnomo pizza – San Marzano, fior di latte, mushrooms, Italian sausage, black truffle ricotta ($26). Mushroom on pizza is always a safe option. The black truffle ricotta got my attention tooeven better that the cheese turned out to be stuffed inside the crust! Pretty delicious. Though I do prefer thicker pizza bases that can hold their own over this thin and flimsy style.
