I sort of happened upon the gelateria and I had to try something – I cannot resist a good ice cream or gelato. I tried the ‘Gaytime’ gelato and I received a really large scoop for 5 dollars. I really enjoyed the flavour. We also tried the panna cotta, which was a tasty intense vanilla, and a nutella option too. Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy the nutella as much. theminiaturelife.com

Nice ice cream but not worth a visit when there’s plenty of other options . serving shrinks every time we go there , so we will be finding a new store. I think the owner thinks people are stupid and don’t notice the new servers to make the serving smaller .. tight tight tight .. would not recommend

Good gelato (great waffle cones!), decent coffee, ok cannoli, average service. I had their rum-raisin and vanilla gelato, it was very nice. I enjoyed the cappuccino, unsure what brand of coffee is used but it’s pretty good. They ran out of their traditional cannoli, so I decided to buy the ones that were filled with gelato. They’re alright but you really can’t go past the original. My biggest issue was the staff. They were a little rude and very short with us, but at the end of the day we only had to interact with them for a couple of minutes before we went and sat outside. Ample seating is available. Over all I thoroughly enjoyed the sweets on offer, but the staff need to put a smile on their face and make it look like they want to be there.

This is one of the best gelato places you will find in the inner-west. I have been a weekly customer for many years and there has never been a disappointing moment. The gelato is top-notch and the staff are very friendly. My personal favourites are the hazelnut, nutella, and gaytime flavours. The pistachio flavour is also one of my all time favourites but it seems to be sold out all the time which makes me sad So if you’re going here with a friend, I recommend you to get the 1 litre tub with three different flavours. And lastly, this place offers a great selection of pastries and cakes. I’ve tried the pistachio cannelloni and gelato cookie sandwich. They’re mind-blowing

After having a nice dinner at Maranellos, we decided to get Gelato. Busy night but we got served quickly, cant fault that. Girl scoops up our orers and were ready to pay. Have two double scoop ice-cream cones in hand a decent order. We hand her our debit card Sorry we have a $20 minimumTWENTY This, despite the fact the two young girls giggling and causing a ruckus before us stuffing around with paypass for two one scoop cups were somehow allowed to use their card on an order less that $20. Our total came to $13 that means that you literally have to buy at least 4 double scoop icecreams to be allowed to use your card. This is unheard of and poor business practice. There were no signs at all saying there was a minimum either. Not a lot people carry cash, and not a lot of people couples in particular, will buy THAT MUCH ICE CREAM.Unlucky for them, another group overheard the issue of $20 minimum for eftpos and select as well. This used to be a great gelato place when I was a kid, but maybe this new joints management is more worried about quick cash transactions.

Their gelato is superb, so creamy and I rate them over Messina which I find too sweet. The lemon meringue flavour is amazing – tangy lemon combined with chewy shiny meringue, so refreshing. The pistachio is incredible and I usually am not a fan of nut flavours but here, I am a convert and it all tastes so fresh! Cappuccino flavour was yum too and the Nutella crepe was generously filled (but not the crispy crepe kind).

Popped in for a sweet treat and this place did not disappoint. The ice cream was delicious and the perfect way to cool down on a hot day (it was over 30 degrees)I ordered the Nutella Nougat and my sister had the Passionfruit Sorbet. We were both extremely satisfied and will be back again.
