4 of us had dinner sunday night, was freezing cold indoors but we looked forward to our meal. We were charged $15 for 3 people corkage, $15 for plain rice for 4 people bill was $175 for 3 entrees and 3 mains, very pricey for a cheap and cheerful restaurant. Stuffed chicken wings and chicken satays were precooked! Wont bother going back.

The Spot: indoor and outdoor seating, nice wooden interior, found parking very easily on the side streetsThe Service: standard service, no complaints. The food arrived very, very quickly, which could be a good thing or slightly suss depending on your level of neuroticism. The Food: really not a bad meal by any means, but we seemed to find things we’d like to change with every dish. Shredded Snowpea salad was great, the dressing was delicious and the snowpeas had a fresh crunch. The Pineapple Fried Rice was a bit bland and lacked interesting textures, but it paired unobtrusively with many of the other dishes. Mongolian Lamb Hokkien Noodle was too salty for my tastes, but it had a nice smokiness. The Baywok Chicken Kraprao was unanimously too salty and required 360 onigiri-style rice coverage to buffer it. The Fresh Panang Curry of Chicken and Prawns was nice and very generous, but could’ve had more heat and it was very thin to the point of having a bubbly perimeter on presentation… Finally we had the Red Snapper special served with sweet potato and veg sauted in egg – this was surprisingly the most liked of the group. Seasoning was present but not offensive, and the fish was perhaps slightly overdone but not detrimentally so.It’s tough when Sydney does Thai food so well. There’s plenty of competition and unfortunately this one slips through the cracks for me.
