The restaurant has a beautiful view of Coogee beach and friendly enough staff. The prices are not cheap considering the standard of food. The steak was awful tuff piece of meat my husband could bark eat my baby snapper tasted nice enough just couldn’t enjoy it for the bones. Would not recommend
I just dined here again recently with extended family for an early Christmas dinner. I had the Murray cod, Chinese black vinegar, bean sprout, samphire, ginger and raddish. It was a signature dish and an apple juice to go with the meal.The ambience hasnt changed from last time and was still pleasant with a nice view of the sea from our spot. It took a while for the dishes to arrive, about one hour for the mains and my dish took about 10 minutes more than the other mains, perhaps because it was a special. The waiter was apologetic.Serving size was small but the fish was very fresh and the greens on top also refreshing although the samphire is probably an acquired taste. I found the sauce complemented the fish quite well.Service was friendly all round. It was a little strange that one of the desserts arrived before any of the mains and perhaps that was an oversight or a mix-up in the ordering system somehow.Prices were most definitely towards the higher side but overall it was still a satisfactory dinner.
Average at best for this place. Awesome view but food was okay to terrible. My partner had a pasta that was dry and tasteless and a Murray cod that was also dry, fishy wand without flavour despite being 1 of the 2 signature dishes. My oysters were good and wagyu loin was decent. Service was friendly but not especially competent. These need to get there act together a bit or be doomed to be yet another average hotel restaurant.
Bad service ordinary food, at this price … Bad value
Great food. Have now had breakfast and lunch there. Highly recommend. Breakfast is a standout.
Not a bad spot at all. The salmon with Vegies and green bean in honey & sesame was pretty decent. Good portion size with the sides but the salmon wasnt huge (same as most places really).
Bad service and even worse food. $44 for 2 wines and a beer. Such bad value. Do not bother.
