Burger Barrel is another restaurant that has recently opened up on Coogee Bay Road. We decided to check it out after walking past a few times. It was quite pleasant with a good selection of burgers at very reasonable prices. The simple burgers are quite cheap at only $10,also look out for specials nights where the deals may be even better. We tried the Biggie Smalls burger whichis a bit more on the pricier side but worth it. At $18 dollars you not only get one full size double beef burger but asmaller versionon top of the big one. Clever name anda nottoo shabby burgereither. It was quite tasty and came with a side of chips too, the portion was a lot for one person.
It was 35degrees so we hit up coogee…For burgers lol. Had never been but this place has great ethics and decent burgers with quality sides beer list. I did the burger challenge and got pb&j shake, missus got Wang’s and loaded waffle fries. Was good. Burger patties could be a bit fattier, and I’d prefer hi melt American but the buns were good. Sides were amazing and the shake too.
I got the coogee burger and the milo shake. The meat was overcooked and it felt dry so it was good that they provide a lot of options for sauces. The chips were good. The Milo shake was too sweet so I had to dilute it with water. The stools were hard and uncomfortable. Service was quick though. The way it works is that you order first when you go in and then you seat yourself. Would I go back again? Maybe not
Burger Barrel was just a treat! The staff were friendly and the venue had a nice selection of options for burgers and sides to pick. A little pricey but it was nice and tasty. The service was also quick. I would definitely come back and try some more of their other burgers.
No tienen mucha variedad de hamburguesas, sin embargo, son deliciosas. La combinacin de sabores de las hamburguesas especiales es muy sabroso y acompaado de una cerveza queda perfecto. Adems, no son para nada caras
Beautiful ‘beef burger’ at Burger Barrel today. My burger was on a fresh brioche bun, juicy meat patty, cheddar cheese, pickles and sauce. Overall 7/10.
Kind of stumbled upon Burger Barrel while cycling through Coogee one day. It’s a newish place just on the main strip, and their menu is relatively affordable and set up pretty similarly to Chur Burger. Their burgers look pretty similar too. I opted to get the special of the day which was a Wagyu Cheeseburger, and I made it a double…though I wish they would have thrown on more cheese to go along with the double or told me to add it. Thanks for nickel and diming!Double wagyu patty, cheddar cheese, coleslaw, tomato sauce, baconThe bun is a brioche bun, kind I dislike the most. To it’s credit it help the contents well, but the dryness and sweetness of these buns don’t do anything for me. The wagyu was cooked medium well and though it was seasoned acceptably, it was very lean and very dry to eat. Some more fat would have made this juicier. The coleslaw was an interesting choice for something centred around beef, and the lack of cheese and sauce for a dry burger didn’t do this any favours. The bacon was OK though.Don’t think I will be back for another barrel roll.Beef: 2.0Bun: 2.0Toppings: 2.0Overall: 2/5 theburgerhand.com
