Good, not amazing Thai. We ordered duck curry, pad Thai, spring rolls, larb, chilli basil prawn. No complaints but I thought the flavours were a little toned down. The chilli basil was not spicy enough and basil flavour was very subtle. Larb also quite mild.

My go to Thai restaurant in Newie – everything on the menu I have ordered is delicious. Restaurant feels very welcoming and homely and staff are super friendly. Highly recommend the Tom yum soup as an entree, and the pad Thai as well as any stir fry (one with ginger is my fav). The green curry chicken is also pretty good.

My favourite Thai restaurant on earth. The smell is the first thing you notice when you walk in – distinctly Southeast Asia but in the best way. The decor is nice and not over the top. It’s BYO. The older guy who I think is the owner is so friendly and always remembers me and my partner and our order and the all-you-can-eat rice is a nice little bonus. I’ve probably had green curry from 20 different Thai restaurants and Benjamas makes the best one. Lots of chicken (never dry or tough) and veggies and the sauce is the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, creamy and the tangy, savoury flavour of the fish sauce. The cashew nut chicken is also the best I’ve had. Again, generous portions of chicken and veggies and nuts, nice sweet, spicy, sticky sauce and nothing is overwhelmingly out of balance. Everything else I’ve had there is up there too but those two dishes are my go-to’s every time.
