I decided to go have something sweet in Coco Monde while on Holiday in the Newcastle area. The eatery is nice located in the busy Darby Street, with a beautiful vibe and nice decoration. And they also offer seating outside, which is pretty neat.The menu has a good variety of options, both savory and sweet, and with very reasonable prices.The chocolate and strawberry crepe I ordered was delicious and pretty huge in size and generous servings of fruit. I think the ratio of fruit/chocolate/crust was very good. Did not have to wait long to be seated and service (once we were finally able to order) was prompt and helpful. The interior, while beautiful, gets very crowded, so was able to hear the conversations at the table over quite clearly. A children’s party taking up the majority of the restaurant was extremely loud and no effort was made by staff to quieten down for the benefit of other diners. Overall, food was delicious, would return.
I would recommend this cafè, if you really want such a delicious dessert in Newcastle. The food quite average, but a dessert is absolutely delicious!!!!
