Not busy at all when I arrived at 9am on a Sunday but full by around 10am. Service was friendly and efficient. Food options are pretty standard for breakfast. Bread, eggs, bacon, mushroom etc. All the stuff you can do at home but nice to go out for when you can’t be bothered or when the focus is a place to catch up with friends rather than foodie experience. I had the baked beans on sourdough with poached eggs ($15). Not bad price wise and taste is exactly what you expect beans, eggs and bread to be. My two friends also had no issues and enjoyed their breakfasts.

SERVICE IS EXCEPTIONAL. I am surprised again and again by the excellent attentive service of the waitstaff at The Depot on Darby. They are watchful without being intrusive and thoughtful with each patron arriving in the restaurant.Perfect place to just get away and relax alone or with family and friends. Fast service and incredible baby chinos! Food is consistently delicious with fresh ingredients – tapas menu esp the prawns to die for and their chips?!?!?! Are amazing! One of my favourite places to hide out in Newcastle!
