A cute little Japanese restaurant which serves home styled cooking. I order from here often and really enjoy ordering their ara daikon (fish with radish), tako sato (octopus and taro balls) and carpaccio. The prices are reasonable for entree styled dishes (approx $6-$10 per dish). I rarely find any Japanese restaurants that offer this homey type of menu so its definitely worth a try!
|Osaka style sushi & home-style Japanese|1/2Lunch: set menu lunch ($15-20/person)Dinner: Marinated flying squid, takowasa, nimono, mackeral hako sushi, 10pc sushi nigiri, clam in sake & butter soup, aji tataki. ($130)Visited 2 times.must order: hako sushi, special of the daysmall portions light and healthy Japanese foodTip: they do not serve nigiri sushi during lunch + recommend to make a reservation or go early 1/2special of the dayTipnigiri+
The server was very friendly, and sushi was so fresh. The restaurant is quite small and squashy, so a reservation is recommended. I had the special sashimi rice bowl, and I want to have it again. I am not sure what I had was on the regular menu or not. 😐 The omakase is fully booked and never succeeded to book a spot.
This place has probably the best chirashi in Sydney. The sashimi is quite fresh and the soy sauce goes so well with the chirashi. The Osaka style sushi is quite interesting too.
Hidden Gem!Absolutely amazing value for money food. The place is small and my Japanese friend introduced me to this place. We went there for lunch and they had set menu options to choose from for just $15. Had nigiri sushi (first time the wasabi was inside the sushi that proves it is authentic). Option of 5 sushi with kingfish, salmon and tuna as well as 5 rolled sushi too.Next was teriyaki chicken which was absolutely amazing.I am not a miso fan but theirs was tasty. There was a canap of fried mackerel, which was nice too.All this for $15.The staff was really nice. The place was neat and clean. Will definitely visit again.
Simple traditional and tasty Japanese. Went on weekend lunch so it seems I missed the full array of sushis that I’ve been told about. What they did have was fresh and flavoursome
Excellent food, far more interesting than your average Japanese place – we tried multiple sushi we’d never had before. Very limited seating so definitely book!
