Korean samurai has been mine and my partners most favoured restaurant in Sydney. The service is warm and attentive, always recognising us and making us feel welcome. We adore the shared entree platter! We sub out one of the dishes in the meal for another and they do that with no problem or fuss. We have tried almost everything on this menu and not once have we been let down. And you won’t be let down by the delivery also, quick and fresh and just as good.
My sisters and i go here as our go to Korean place even though we’re scattered throughout Sydney (as far as bankstown). Servers are super friendly and always looking out for you and the bbq, which is the best BBQ we’ve had. Definitely recommend their pork with medium spice level and seafood. Price is pretty decent considering what you get. Often very busy but if you book beforehand, it’s not a problem. i eat Korean pretty often but this is by far the best.
The service here is very welcoming but also a little intense. Kind of felt like we were being watched the entire time and someone was constantly breathing over my shoulder. Also the prices are not very cheap considering what you are getting. The Korean sides which came out were three very average options which didn’t warrant any refills despite being very small portions. On top of that white rice is $1 for continuous refill while brown is $2 for one bowl. Was a very small bowl so if you’re hungry, probably should go for the white.Kimchi stew is $15 with or without pork belly, and I asked for without so did feel a little ripped off. Perhaps they could change the pricing for each option as one is clearly getting less than the other. It tasted okay but I am not that great of a cook yet can make it to a very similar level as Korean Samurai’s, so again can’t help feeling ripped off. I actually left still hungry, which never happens when eating Korean food.Portion wise the chicken katsu curry rice was bigger, but again taste wise the sauce was not incredible. I’m kind of not a big fan of Japanese style curries to begin with, but it tasted like the packet ones you can make at home. However I will add, any Jap curry I have at restaurants taste like the packet ones so this could just be me.
Went here for a dinner on weekend and the place was filled with locals looking for a mix of Korean and Japanese food. Tried their combination sashimi and sushi platter and I simply love it! They were fresh and well presented. Staff was super friendly and accomodating as they also kept coming to our table and asked whether we enjoyed it or not
This place used to be Sylvia’s Well Being Kitchen and the transition to Korean Samurai has been seamless!!!! The staff are amazing and so friendly and attentive. The food is outstanding and has lost none of the quality that some venues do when they undergo a rebrand. Highly recommend this place to everyone I know. Some of the best food I’ve EVER had. Great for all occasions!!!
