I think this is a fantastic place to socialise. They do great cocktails and the place is interestingly decorated. The menu is also interesting with a lot of diversity. However, I thought the food was a bit disappointing. We ordered the Hikkaduwa devilled baby octopus curry with turmeric rice, Aunt Betty’s West Indian fried chicken, Afro fries, South African lamb sosaties, Jamaican in New York BBQd jerk pork ribs and the Buzzard and Sweet Potaty Curry. My favourite was the octopus curry which I would recommend. The other dishes were good but I was expecting them to be a bit more special.

Different still delicious! Came across this place while we were wandering for food in Cremorne. The ambience was great and the service was good too. We got settled within five minutes. We asked for recommendations and found ourselves stuffed with food till the end. Loved their chicken curry and the quesadillas. Service – 4/5Taste – 4/5Ambience – 4/5Value for Money – 4/5

Interesting, exotic menu, however below average delivery. The idea of the restaurant is very interesting. Radio Cairo serves exotic cuisines from all over the world. The problems is that if you have ever tasted these dishes in their original form or prepared by a good chef, the meals in Radio Cairo seem to be below average. They are not as tasty, not as balanced and sometimes even far from what they should taste or look like due to sloppiness or lack of experience of the chefs. I wondered why Radio Cairo had such a good rating, but after having dinner there I figured out that it is likely because most of the dishes sound exotic and are new to many Australians. If you are reasonably familiar with world cuisines and can recognize the menu items, you will be most likely disappointed. This is not a restaurant I would go back to.

Incredible place! I can’t believe it was my first time eating here last night – the food, atmosphere and people are amazing. Definitely going in my books as one of my favourites – the atmosphere and food itself is incredible, and you can see it made right behind you. We ordered the eggplant pomegranate dip with papadums which is honestly one of my favourite dishes ever! The flavours combined were exquisite and I find myself constantly craving it now even now! We then shared two mains – morrocan spiced lamb and beef rump and potato curry. INCREDIBLE. Honestly some of the tastiest and most beautifully spiced meats I have ever had, and the curry is the type of curry I absolutely adore. This place is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone!!

I hoped it was true but when thrice you get the weakest excuses as to why you aren’t able to eat at their restaurant you begin to get pretty angry. Previously id walk in with a Caucasian gf with no problems . But laat 3 times walking in with an asian gf caused quite a problem . Last week couldn’t even take one of the 10 spare TABLES as we couldn’t handle the customers present. Personally having worked in hospitality for more than a decade having 20 tables between 4 staff isnt too hard. You can probably take another couple witj no issue.

I have been to Radio Cairo on a number of occasions- amazing food!!! Could eat there every day! However I was there with a friend on Saturday night and we both got the impression that they were doing us a huge favour for allowing us to be there! Their service was poor with a waitress who seriously had attitude issues and no experience! This was seriously disappointing particularly at the end when we had decided that they did not deserve a tip but they still asked us for one?!?

The service here is the worse experience in a restaurant I have ever had. We prebooked a table well in advance for my birthday celebrations only to find on arrival it had been given away to a group. This was right on opening. We were escorted near the noisy bar/ busy thoroughfare where there was a draft, and well away from the window, and when this problem was raised the staff very extremely rude and hostile, and we were told , ‘if you don’t like it you can leave, we don’t care’. would never recommend this place, we felt so uncomfortable and amazed by how rude they were, we ended up going elsewhere.
