Booked a table for 10 on Fathers Day. We were given a choice table near the kitchen so we could watch the food prep and cooking. Throughout our 2 hour sitting, we ordered many entrees to share, all of which were faultless. Staff were attentive and polite. Highlight dishes: lamb ragou, aranchini and the zucchini flowers filled with prawn and cheese. We will certainly return! Highly recommended.

Italian flair at this beach side eatery offers modern Australian food with traditional Italian flavour profiles & dishes, such as stuffed zucchini flowers, arancini, bisteca Fiorentina or the snapper Aqua Pazza (cooked in crazy water). Panna cotta has the textbook wobble & there is an interesting wine list of many Italian wines to try.

I went here on the weekend and they managed to squeeze me in without a booking. The food is not cheap but it is delicious, inventive, service is great and the menu is not too large which I like. They can then focus on quality and get it out quickly. I tried the zucchini flowers, smoked quail and veal ragu. The ragu was slightly disappointing. The sauce was a bit light and watery. The zucchini flowers were steamed and plump full of prawn. The quail was lovely and smokey. All in all a delicious journey for the tastbuds and highly recommended. With a glass of wine it came to $72.00

Oriana and Joe do a fabulous job running Giro. Best Italian in the shire if not most of Sydney. We are looked after every time. Highly recommend starting with a Salumi platter that’s sliced fresh for you. Main recommend any house made pasta the sauces are to die for (not your typical carbonara, bolognese) much more rustic flavours. Another suggestion is the Pesce ala Aqua pazza ‘fish in crazy water’ snapper is amazing. Thanks for your hospitality and I will always continue recommending people to your wonderful restaurant x

A little bit of Italy in the shire. Once again had the best night at giro osteria. The right ingredients for a great customer experience. Last forgot I was in Cronulla but in Italy. Not just the fabulous food and tremdous wines ( try the montelpulciano Di Abruzzo) but the service. True Italian style ! Humour and professionalism . Was I in Napoli or the shire? Aldo the waiter made our night!

Lovely service and great food. Impromptu date night with house red, 2 great cheeses, the burrata and Gorgonzola with honey with warm bread and EVOO. Pair that with prosciutto and bresaola. Amazing! Quail was out of my comfort zone but proved to be a dance of light and full flavours. Best part was the knowledgeable, kind and lovely service. Great date night or nice family gathering Spot with a warm atmosphere.

We tried this restaurant about 12 months ago and was really disappointed in the service. We love Alphabet St (same owner) which has amazing food and service is second to none. We decided on Sunday to give Giro anther try. Again the service was appalling. My entree came out 25mins before my husbands and the staff really didn’t get that there was something wrong with that. I had the gnocchi for a main and it was swimming in butter – I couldn’t eat it. $260 wasted and we won’t try it again. We will stick to Alphabet St which is just divine. Sorry guys.
