Ordered take away food from Kankawa and was pretty pleased with what we got. The BBQ Pork dish and the Teriyaki Chicken were both great – right amount of flavour without being over the top or too sweet (as teriyaki can sometimes be). The portion size on the mains was pretty standard. But I thought that the entree dishes were sufficiently generous. The sushi and aburi were also good choices. Fresh and tasty. Would order again.

We went to Kankawa because all the other Japanese restaurants were packed. It is overpriced. It’s more expensive than other Japanese places in Cronulla. We ordered Karage chicken. It came out dried, full of batter and tiny little chicken strips; grilled salmon rolls – the rolls were falling apart, barely hold its shape. Not to mention the fillings, it was horrible. Finally a stir fried Udon. It tasted sour like off. Yuk! We had two mouthfuls and just left! Worst dinner EVER!
This place is great. I’ve become a regular here. If it’s tasty, freshly made sushi you want, this place is the business. Used to hit up the sushi train a few doors down… Have given up on it as this joint is far superior.
