We found this place by chance and decided to give it a try. We weren’t disappointed. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered the tasting platter – everything was delicious. We told our waitress that we only had limited time and she made sure that we had time to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. Can’t wait to take some friends back.
Just down the street and I was onto stop 2 in Cronulla @lowsandlofty for lunch. An unassuming street frontage leads upstairs into a cool bar area with a great vibe.Classic Diner Burger: 200gm house made beef patty, tomato, lettuce, pickles, jack cheddar and lofty secret special sauce The beef reminded me of a real straight up american patty without being a sloppy Joe – and the cheese and sauce were great! Could ditch the lettuce lol
Staff are friendly. Atmosphere is good. Noisy but typical of most Restaurants. Bar is well stocked as drinks are tasty. Food is amazing. Tasting platter to start. Ribs brisket are great. Goat curry to die for. Chicken was good. Mains just as good
Took a chance & Dropped by for Sunday lunch. (Hrs showed closed until 5). We were only ones here so different than my last venture in! One guy seemed to be all things and a great job he did. Good to recommend options based on our taste. I love sangria but this came as spiced rum which I was suspicious. He suggested it had a great balance with the flavours. He was not wrong. Beloved one had a liquor coffee drink. Too sweet for our pre meal but fantastic nonetheless. Homemade butterscotch was great. Loved ambiance – very Caribbean. Chuckled with the reggae version of thriller and pink Floyd’s dark side! Awesome. Great art posters on wall. Couches on edge very soft. Appetizer sing joy pie was lettuce wrap of brisket and jerk chicken. Wow the smokiness of brisket was fantastic – and no sauce. Made Texas gal very happy!Main was the Sunday bbq banquette shared! TX bbq meats & Caribbean sides of Jamaican smashed potatoes and dirty rice. Meat was chicken legs & ribs – which I don’t care but beloved one does and he said flavour great. Beef ribs tasty but a little dry and the poem rib very savory. Overall excellent. Ps loved the platters. Just a note – we were only ones here. Lovely meal. Have come on Friday night and just really crowded and loud for a conversation. Great food still and service but not a place to catch up / talk with friends on weekend night.
Service was good… unfortunately that is the only positive thing I have to say. Ribs were ridiculously tough, we struggled to saw through the meat with a steak knife and my friend got a sore jaw from chewing. Wings were soggy, sauce was passable. Sweet potato fries were burnt… Not coming back
Regarded by locals as the place for pre-drinks before a big night out in Cronulla. This place has a cool vibe and a smorgasbord of liqueurs available. Even if you haven’t got a big night planned, the laid back atmosphere is inviting for small groups and parties, and the food is served til late. The staff are friendly and the espresso martinis are nothing short of delicious.
Great little BBQ joint in the heart of Cronulla, staff and atmosphere are great, craft beers on tap, can’t go past the cheeseburger with the soft milky bun and pickles!
