Had a group booking for my birthday and booked in for the Village Menu (all you could eat). We had 9 adults & 2 kids and I was shocked when I asked for the kids menu to hear that there were no printed kids menus.. I had to go onto their website to get the full kids menu because the waitstaff only knew a few dishes… why wouldnt you have some printed kids menus? While the food was good, the service was terrible! Our table was full of empty plates & glasses (new cocktails were put down directly next to empty cocktail glass yet glass was left) and we had to ask to get plates & glasses removed. Staff did not check on us so if we wanted drinks or more food (and the bill at the end) we had to wave for so long get their attention or actually go up to the bar where all the staff were standing around chatting the entire time. There were quiet a few times we ordered drinks that never came that we had to ask again and again for! It was not a busy day and there was lots of staff yet service was one of the worst Ive had. Really let the entire lunch down.Not once were we checked on to see if food was ok or if we needed anything…. the only time the waitstaff came to our table was if they brought food/drinks or if we waved them down.When we ordered more dips & bread the serving size was half the initial serving size too! And again, we had to get the staffs attention for ages to order that.We never even got offered desert or coffee… we had to get up and ask for coffee! And still didnt ask if we wanted desert.Then when we finally got our $410.10 bill, the girl tried to charge me a 9% card fee!!! Who the hell charges 9%???!!!! Thats actually illegal too! And she didnt even tell me there was any surge fee at all! One of my guests saw the computer screen and saw the amount she was charging was more then the bill amount so when we asked why it was different she said it was a credit card fee. I then said ok Ill pay savings and she still said the fee was the same! Thats absolutely disgusting and appalling! After the bad service and beyond excess card fee I will never come back to Opahs…Completely ruined the lunch and ruined our experience there!
