I Love Pho is one of those restaurants where we not only visit often but end up ordering in from every other month. For us this is comfort food at its best! There’s usually ways a bit of a wait to get a table for dinner. Went there as a couple and several times with a bunch of friends. Will definitely post some pictures the next time we go there…
Not sure I completely agree with the rather high average rating of this place. For Vietnamese it’s probably slightly better then average on the good side, but it does have the advantage of being in an area not known for Asian food. Find the selections rather generic, the service is also average, they missed one of my friend’s meal, but won’t admit it. When it did come the food was nice. The pho soup base is good, but could be more intense. Slightly on the pricy side too. Overall, not a bad eat if you’re keen for Vietnamese on the lower North Shore.
| Crows Nest | I Love Pho | Happy New year! What a great year it has been and thank you everyone for your support!..My first post of the year is a good bowl of Vermicelli Bowl at I Love Pho! Perfect for summer, fresh, tasty, light and refreshing! If you never tried this place, it is a must as they make pretty good bowl of Wagyu pho and summer rolls..Thank you @ilovepho_restaurant_crowsnest for having us!
JOYFUL FOOD @ilovepho_restaurant_crowsnest ..: there is nothing better than a light and tasty meal during the Christmas break! With all the heavy eating and snacking during this time, I highly recommend swinging by @ilovepho_restaurant_crowsnest for some fresh tasting Vietnamese dishes! Enjoy ample parking and seating in the heart of crows nest… prawn rice paper rolls: I could tell these were freshly rolled with nicely cooked prawns and a beautiful peanut sauce. spring rolls: each crunch was delicious and surely was fried to perfection. Dont mind me ordering another batch!. wagyu beef pho noodle bowl: generous serving of wagyu beef, and the broth was singing in a lovely aroma of herbs . all in one vermicelli noodle bowl: spoilt for choice with so many toppings and veggies, my favourite is the sugar cane prawns . ..Open everyday except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this holiday season! Thank you @ilovepho_restaurant_crowsnest x @omptymedia for the invite! ..##ilovephoSydney #ChaoCatering
After eating here, all I could think about is going back to Vietnam. Maybe the most authentic and delicious Vietnamese restaurant I have been to in Sydney. Textures and flavours nailed! If you want to reminisce about your last holiday to Vietnam, do yourself a favour and have a meal here!
If you love Vietnamese food, you will love the food here at this popular Vietnamese restaurant in the centre of Crows Nest. We dined mid-week on a Tuesday evening and it was buzzing in the dining room with most tables taken which is always a good indication of the food. We started off the night with some fresh coconut juice – loved the fact already that they were real fresh coconuts! I must also confess we accompanied our coconuts with a glass of house prosecco which went down very well. For starters we ordered the I Love Pho Mixed starters platter which was a perfect choice as there was a selection of all their favourites for us to sample. The selection included: prawn and pork summer rolls, spring rolls, pork sausage skewers, sugar cane prawns (this was my fave!) and crispy pork baos. For mains we ordered a number of dishes off the menu:I Love Phos Shaking Beef with black pepper – this is one of their signature dishes and it lived up to its recommendations. It is also known as bo luc lac. The cubed beef was juicy and tender and cooked in an addictively flavoursome black pepper sauce which was perfect when eaten on a bed of fluffy white jasmine rice. Goi bo tai chanh – rare wagyu beef salad with green mango, fresh lime juice, cucumber, picked carrot and mint. I really enjoyed the fresh, crunchy vegetables and mango in the salad with the well-seasoned meat on top. A great dish for the upcoming warmer months. Grilled marinated pork and spring roll vermicelli bowl – warm vermicelli noodles with Vietnamese mint, shredded lettuce, carrot, bean sprouts, roasted peanuts, crispy shallots and fish sauce all topped with grilled marinated pork and spring rolls. Vermicelli bowls are one of my fave must order dishes when eating Vietnamese, this one was packed with flavourful fresh, tasty vegetables and deliciously grilled pork on top. The spring rolls were really tasty as well, loved the added crunch that they added to the dish. The staff were friendly and attentive and looked after us well during our dining experience. I would happily come back to sample more dishes off the menu here, everything we ate was so delicious and flavoursome. Plus, I loved all of the fresh ingredients used, you could really taste it in the dishes. Note: I dined as a guest of the venue. All views and opinions expressed above are my own.
