Previous regular customer but hadn’t been in a year after the quality and service started to go down hill. Got a voucher so thought we’d give it a go again. Upon arrival, asked if the voucher was still valid and Ok to use now. Yes, confirmed all good. Ordered – Seekh kebab-microwave job, chewy and half cold but well seasoned, needed more heat both chili and temperature.Nehari gosht-3 pieces of meat, tonne of bones and 300ml of gravy. I kind of expected a small portion because of the voucher but not sooo scabby.Tikka masala – flavourful and reasonable serve. Needed bit more heat.Rice – old but edible. And a beer and soft drink ( the soft drink was in a tiny glass 3/4 full about 150ml $4)Bill comes, no discount despite checking twice throughout the night. Once upon entering then again when ordering. Go up and the owner accosts me, asking me what the issue is, I say no issue, just getting the bill adjusted, argues with me, then says he’ll honour it to do me a favour! Hey buddy, you said it was fine 45 mins prior! The serves were definitely based on the fact there was a voucher, and the fact we were harangued half way through our meal to buy more food. Then get told its cash only, even though the EFT machine is next to me. $55 well and truly enough for eftpos use. So much competition around. Won’t be getting my business again.
I went late at night when they were about to close so I opted for a take away. I ordered Bhindi, daal tadka, chicken biryani and gazar ka halwa. Bhindi, daal and biryani were pity nice but gazar halwa had no taste of gazar in it. It’s a nice place must try on a visit to Sydney…
While our house hunting and starving, we buzzed into this place. Indian food is always good. This place also served a decent food. Since we were in hurry, we ordered the mains directly. Had paneer Kadhai with garlic naan. Garlic naan was better than the paneer. Overall a decent place to be in.Service – 3/5Food – 3/5Value for Money – 3/5
Last train to Bombay doesn’t deserve to be the last option even if there was an apocalypse happening in the world. It’s the most dirtiest restaurant I’ve seen in crows nest, there was literally a chewing gum left in the seat , when I pointed that out to the waiter, he just asked me to sit somewhere else and even then he did not care a damn. The Kashmiri Pulau is a joke. It is the worse thing you can ever imagine for a Pulau. It’s literally halwa cooked rice, smells yuk of bad oil or ghee. The palak Kabab is full of green food colour to make a boil potato look like it has some spinach in it.Heavily manipulative Indian cuisine, probably in heavy debt too. I request everyone to not believe that this is even remotely Indian food. It is just pure dirty, tasteless and gross food. I am not exaggerating , and do not mean any offence but it pains and hurts that in a beautiful suburb as crows nest, known for its food, this place doesn’t deserve to be open. I guess I finally understand the frustration of someone before who left that chewing gum on the seat.
If there was negative rating I’d give this restaurant a -20. Its an insult to the city Bombay to serve such shit food and such terrible service. The server didn’t give a f*** (Im mindful of my language but he literally did NOT give a f***) to what we’d like to order and just recommended the options based on what could they serve the quickest. And even with his recommended order the appetizer (palak kebab) it was the worst food I’ve ever had in my life. Disgrace to Indian food and Indian cuisine. I can bear bad service but just canNOT bear with terrible and shit food. Never ever going back in this shithole again. Does not deserve to be located in crows nest.
I went to LTtB for dinner yesterday. My previous visit was almost 3 years ago, and I was very sad to see that the food and service has gone downhill.Only the naan (soft, pillowy, slightly charred) reminded me of what it was like to dine here, but all other dishes chicken malai tikka (lukewarm, and microwaved), Kashmiri pulao (deadly sweet, overcooked rice), paneer butter masala (bland, under seasoned), chicken chettinaad (boiled chicken pieces in a pre-made gravy) left me horrified. The only dish that managed to save some face was the punjabi mutton curry, which was pleasant. On asking, I was advised that all the previous cooks had left the job, and so had some of the wait staff. To make matters worse, the waiters on shift last night had not turned up.I really hope that the management pull their socks up and address the issues sooner rather than later.Overall, a very disappointing experience.
Nice place! Went for dinner with friends and were seated by the window. Dug in straight into mains and must say that everything we ordered was good. What was refreshing was the Indian-ness of the taste; the spices and flavours were something you’d get in a mid range restaurant within India. Nice evening.
