Mixed reviews from diners tonight as some dishes were hits and some were misses. We shared their zucchini flowers and meatballs which were delicious. The kids like their pasta and chicken nuggets and chips. My SIL enjoyed her pork ribs but my brother found the wagyu beef and double bacon burger good but the charcoal buns made it dry overall. I decided to try their poke bowl but the salmon wasnt sliced right and all were stuck together. My husband didnt really enjoy the coffee rubbed pork roast as the meat itself was really dry.Service was friendly but the staff spilt the sauce left over in one of the bowls all over my legs which was annoying as she didnt have her hands full or anything and she wasnt very apologetic which turned me off ordering dessert. Overall, ok to try but not rushing back here anytime soon.
Nice ambience and nice food. The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 6:30pm despite it being a weekend. We started with the halloumi fries – they were definitely served too quickly for them to be freshly made and they were only slightly warm. For mains, we got the eggplant parmigiana, coffee rubbed roast pork and chicken Marsala. The pork had no coffee taste what so ever so that was a bit disappointing, otherwise, the dishes were pretty good.
Tried this out on the half price Dimmi deal for dinner. We were warmly welcomed on a cold night, and the place had a great vibe with Blues music playing. We had yum cha scotch eggs, cured salmon crostini, parmesan chicken schnitzel, coffee-rubbed pork roast and two tiramisus for dessert. The main portions were really large and we struggled to finish them. All the dishes were unique and delicious with the exception of the schnitzel which was a little ordinary and plain in comparison. All in all a great place to eat and good value.
Happy for the food we received on the night, given the bill was 50% off. If charged full price not sure they worth a second visit for the same food we ordered, just dont think the flavour is that sophisticated and complex.
We came here with 40% off Dimmi and thought that the food overall was pretty unique (a bit of fusion here and there) and great with the discount that we got! Without the discount, it would be a 3.5 instead. The waitress also seemed a bit pushy with the menu and tip which was a damper for us.For dinner, we started off with the Yum Cha Scotch Egg which was really cool – it was panko crumbed with xiu mai and was nice but for the full price of $11 would be small. The Halloumi Fries ($13) werent bad (Ive had better elsewhere) but the Cured Salmon Crostini ($19) was great! There were 4 crostini served with gin, betty & rose petals house cured salmon alongside creme fruit, dill and tomato salsa. The 12 hour slow cooked Coffee Rubbed Roast Pork ($29) served with mash and greens was yummy too, although there wasnt any particular coffee flavour.
