It is a pretty decent Indian restaurant. Food has been good most of the times. They serve some dishes in half portions which is good when you are eating alone or want to try different items. I really like their spinach rice, jeera aloo, dal tadka and palak paneer. The owners are a bit arrogant and the service is average.
Some beautiful food and great service. Portion sizes were perfect. A nice atmosphere with just the right crowd to have a nice date or friendly gathering. Will definitely be going back.
Okay food but omg the owner has a big head!! Knows nothing about customer service. Arrogant! That is all. Don’t need to say anymore. Learn customer service before you go in business!
I am not sure if they’ve changed the chefs in here, but the food quality has definitely taken a dip in the last few months.Someone should remind them that just the food colouring doesn’t make for Indian food. The smells and taste are quite absent from their dishes. You could almost use the orange colour in the Jinga Peshawari on your adult colouring book! After all, it only had half a dozen prawns in a bowl full of orange sauce! On the plus side, their naan’s and Bharvan Kulcha are quite good.
The best Indian meal we have had in all of Sydney. Murgh makhani and balti beef were easily the standouts – 5 star!!!. The service and atmosphere were authentic and relaxing. I can’t wait to try the banquet!!
We have been to Cumin twice now, since recently moving to Crows Nest and both experiences have been fantastic. Friendly and welcoming service. Very polite and accommodating our every request in a timely manner. The food is sensational with all of our traditional favourites as well as some great chef’s specialties which we like to try. I’m sure this will become a regular favourite to us. It’s a popular spot. The restaurant is always busy but this doesn’t affect their efficiency. It offers take away service as well.
Always excellent. They even do a reasonably hot vindaloo, which is a rarity.
