I stumbled across Street Market Asian Tapas in Crows Nest whilst trying to find a place for dinner and since then its been one of my most frequented restaurants in Crows Nest. Ive enjoyed most of everything ordered (size and freshness of the oysters can be inconsistent, however the owner is quick to change the serving with fresh ones, and the service is always good). They also have $10 tapas on Mondays & Tuesdays.
2.5 would be more appropriate. I visited the one in Kirribilli and enjoyed the experience so I thought this one would be good too. We were a group of 4 and tried several dishes. The menu was fairly extensive but I’m afraid I would rate the quality of the dishes from average to poor. The best out of the lot were the garlic prawns. The roti was nice but nothing special about it. The dumplings were subpar as well as the meat dishes. The meat was tough and even more so for the non-skewers. My Filipino friend seemed to enjoy the chicken inasal (Philippines signature BBQ chicken) though. Positives were the nice setting and fantastic service as well as the reasonable prices. All the cold and hot tapas were $10 each on a Tuesday evening. These upped the score but I definitely won’t rush back here.
