All the dishes we ordered were quite good despite the low ratings given here. The highlights were definitely the scallop with betal leaf, and the caramelised salmon in hotpot. The pad Thai was pretty dry and so was the chicken in the Vietnamese pancake. The flavour of the curry was alright, but there was a major layer of oil on top.
Terrible service – forgot to serve water in spite of asking twice. Mixed up our order: had ordered mixed fried rice but was served chicken fried rice. They also forgot to serve us one of our dishes, as well as charged us for it!
This place replaces and old favourite, so we tried to approach it worth an open mind. The food is very fresh and healthy. Probably less deals and spices than the previous Vietnamese place. This was a welcome change. You can treat yourself here and come away not feeling guilty, it is so healthy and fresh. The service was not as attentive, we opened and poured or own wine. But they were very observant and brought out new dishes right on time. This place will definitely fit as a new go to place. Far better than the stuff on offer on the Willoughby Road, Crows Nest strip.
