The group booking price wasn’t the advertised $25pp for our group and after the gratuity was added – we paid $40.43pp. ($130 gratuity was added to our bill)The waitress was doing her absolute best but appeared stressed catering to a large group solo. I understand that Surry Hills is a busy area, still this is my first experience being so abruptly rushed out of a reserved space.-Lot’s of vegetarian options which was great!-No GF pasta-Pasta serving sizes were very small-Two pizzas were placed at each table of 6-8 people-Pizza crust and sauce is nice-Can’t order drinks at the bar-Staff assured we had enough to eat

The downstairs space is a large communal space that would be great for a group party. The pizza choices are great and the slices just keep coming from the kitchen. The pizza is a little cheese heavy and my biggest complaint is that the nutella pizza isn’t included in the price.

Seated at a communal table, you’re served by the owner himself. You’re given a color coded hockey puck that you turn over (Green for Yes, Red for No) as the random selection from their menu begins swirling around the table. The pace is good, it doesn’t feel rushed, the menu offered doesn’t seem watered down and you’re given a good selection and sometimes, seconds as they distribute their random curation of the night. It’s great fun! Full of surprises as Lisa comes out from the kitchen. I like a bit of fire, particular from the Southern region of Italy, so the ARRABIATA PENNE was the perfect opener to warm up the pallette. A sauce of garlic, tomato and red chilli loved everything about this! In between our pasta dishes, they weaved in their HAM & PEA, MARGHERITA, FOUR CHEESE, MUSHROOM pizzas. The crispiness in the bases stood out here. Such simple ingredients to make the dough but that precision in your base takes a lot of care and technique long before you have come in and ordered your pizza! Thanks Chef! The SPICY SAUSAGE & PEPPERS and the ROCKET & PROSCUITTO were my favorites for the evening, nice balance between toppuing and base and really good quality cheese. In terms of pasta, the FOUR CHEESE GNOCCHI came a close second to my dish of the night, it’s impossible for things to go wrong here as the soft clouds of pasta bathe in a gooey fusion of cheese! I had to have seconds! People I know who have been hear say, that even though they are stuffed from the great feast you get here, they insist on making room for dessert and you know what they are spot on! The TIRAMISU pushes all the buttons from the elements you know expect in a creamy mascarpone, chocolate dusted masterpiece however, the extra moistening in Espresso dunking they’ve down through this is impeccable and a perfect showstopper to close the Pizza Autentico food story. Thanks so much for having me in, cute little ambience, versatile space which I can picture using in so many ways (casual dining, group functions) and service that is personal! thenextrushmagazine.com

Great concept that is sure to win over a lot of people, $20 all you can eat Pasta and Pizza is like a dream come true for some. The catch ?, you dont choose what come out and basically are at the mercy of a rotation system. But for me thats brilliant as it forces you try new flavors you normally wouldnt

Good service 4/5Pizza was quite nice 4/5Every pasta we had was so salty! The flavour otherwise was tasty, but the pasta itself tasted like it was boiled in a pot full of salt…. 2/5Worth a try…. wouldnt go back though.

To give you a sense of my obsession, I came here on a Friday night from a friend’s recommendation, and immediately came back the Friday night after.Situated in an alley that is slightly off the main road, this place is quite unassuming on the outside. However, once you step in, you can’t help but feel the animated and bustling atmosphere, with people enjoying their meals around a large, communal table, even if it was just 30 minutes before its kitchen closes. The best part, of course, was the $25 all you can eat deal. Maybe it’s just me, but I have never had pizza & pasta served in this Brazilian steakhouse manner – what a brilliant idea. Everything should be served this way. The servers came out with different pizzas and pasta every 2-3 minutes, and we got to try so many flavors, including:Pizzas (thin crust, bless):1. Zucchini & Cherry Tomato: 4/5. The zucchini gave the pizza a refreshing touch2. Spinach & Ricotta: 5/5. My favorite – the spinach was really flavorful and complimented the dough2. Eggplant: 3/5. The pizza had a strong eggplant flavor but unfortunately I’m not a huge eggplant fanPasta:1. Formaggio gnocchi: 3/5. Too cheesy in my opinion2. Mushroom farfalle: 3/5. I normally don’t like farfalle, and I thought the cheese really overpowered the mushrooms3. Pesto linguine: 4.5/5. My favorite pasta, it was a little greasy but really tastyAs I am a pescatarian, I wasn’t able to try all the flavors, which really is a blessing in disguise in this situation. i would say pace yourself so you can get at least a second serving of your favorite ones! The server was also really attentive and remembered all our dietary restrictions, and paid special attention to us when serving vegetarian options.Overall warm and fun ambiance, great service, satisfying food, at a really affordable price.

It was a chilly Friday night when we arrived to try this word of mouth restaurant. We were seated and given water and a drinks list. After letting them know we dont eat meat they take our drinks order and the food begins to come out. A disc on the table alerts servers as to wether you are hungry, want to slow down or are finished. Pizzas are on my favourite base – thin and crisp- have never enjoyed the soggy style. We enjoyed a zucchini and potato, Margherita, eggplant, and ricotta and pesto .. the pastas were also amazing. There was a gnocchi with cheese sauce, mushroom and spirals, linguine with pesto and more… so full! There is cheese as well as dried chilli on the table. It is only one communal table which keeps the night lively and fun. The Prosecco was so good that I had a couple of glasses. Friendly service and a set price.
