I had heard a lot about Cafe Ella over the years – little did I know I was walking past it every week and didn’t see it! It’s a quaint and nice little cafe that makes great bagels and has a nice and cosy ambience to it. The people were lovely and the blueberry bagel with ricotta and jam was delicious (not your classic blueberry bagel as the blueberries were on top rather than mixed in!). I also tried the ‘Special’ Turkish Toasties which was AMAZING. Oddly out of everything I loved the hot chocolate – only $4 for a decently sized cup that would normally be $5 or over anywhere else and they have the cutest colourful marshmallows that transport me back to childhood. Will definitely return regularly seeing as though it’s in my convenience!
Very friendly and casual local spot for lunch. The quiche and salad was delicious and great value for less than $10. I’ll definitely come again.
Came here today for a small get together with a friend. The staff were very nice and the whole atmosphere of the cafe was really cute and small. Had the brekkie bagel and the iced tea. Bagel came in a huge serving which is really nice and came with a side salad. The iced tea was also really good. The price is decent and is located in a really convenient place. Would come back again!
Cafe Ella have a very unique atmosphere – it’s not pretentious. The chai tea is perfect made with fresh spices & ginger including the healthy bagels – my favourite is poppyseed bagel with ricotta & handmade jam. Don’t judge a book by the cover – it’s Cafe Ella! I love overlooking the courtyard when enjoying my hot chai tea especially on a cold day. The staff are very efficient & friendly
Heard great things about the blueberry bagel but was highly dissapointed when I bet into an obviously stale bagel. I also ordered an ice coffee only to be given an adhoc latte with ice. The latte was still hot so the few cubes of ice melted straight away to create the lukewarm travesty.
Favourite!! This place is absolutely rad. Cute and unpretentious. They bake their own bagels which are amazing – their entire menu is pretty great to be honest. Did I mention that all meals come with a side salad?! Love!! Vittoria coffee keeps me happy. As did the beautiful decor, cute courtyard and friendly vibes. Will be back.
