+3 standard points for food+1 variety of sashimi like nowhere elseNoise level: quiet. Japs table is really worth a try if you enjoy chirashi don. The head chef is serious about his food and it shows! The fish is sliced well, and is sweet.Im personally not a fan of ramen, but its quite good here! The noodles are firm and each broth has a unique twist.Recommended:Chirashi DonGreen Tea or Black Sesame Ice CreamService is polite and venue is small but comfy. They have a section with low tables and floor seating too.
Walked in on a Saturday night to this warm, cosy restaurant. Ambience was relaxing, service was very friendly. I ordered the buta kakuni with a serve of rice. For $19 (rice not included), the portion was relatively small, especially since the second piece of pork belly, pictured below, was not actually a full piece. The pork belly was juicy, tender and well seasoned. I did not really enjoy the miso veggies, but that may be because I am not the hugest fan of eggplant. The salad didn’t have enough dressing. The mashed potatoes was smooth and tasty. The meal left me just the right level of fullness, so if rice wasn’t ordered, it would probably not have been a substantial enough meal.
